Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince......A post that you shouldnt read if you havent read the book.

Let me make one thing clear once and for all, the goddamn book ROCKS.
It is so brilliant that you would want to read it slowly just so that it doesn't end soon, and still end up reading it in two days time. It matches upto all the hype, fulfills all expectations and positively makes you die for the 7th book. J.K Rowling is the most stupendous writer I have ever seen, and I worship the ground she walks on.

Coming up next are a few comments on the book and my predictions for the next one. Again I'm warning y'all, if you haven't read the book yet, don't go ahead.

Dumbledore's death, though expected, thanks to the 154363 people wanting to spoil the book for me, still managed to shock and move me (tears were streaming down my face during the funeral). But Snape's treachery is no surprise, which is what makes me doubt it. If Dumbledore was one of the most intelligent wizards ever, how could Snape have hoodwinked him so effectively, that too for nearly 17 years? Dumbledore's judgment couldn't have been so faulty. There is a catch somewhere here. There has to be.
Perhaps the person who died wasn't Dumbledore - hear me out before you pounce on me. There are a lot of loopholes in this theory, but maybe, just maybe, Snape has killed a person who he knew was an impersonator ( and I'm not saying he used polyjuice potion - I know it wears off after an hour). Because Dumbledore will never plead, even, especially, for his own life. Maybe his death is a ploy to ensure Voldemort's complete faith in Snape.

R.A.B - Regulus Black? Whoever it is, I think it is a very clever twist to the plot. I hope that it is not a letdown.

I also think Sirius is alive - there was no body.

The book has managed to handle Harry's relationship with Ginny with great sensitivity and maturity. J.K.Rowling's understanding of human emotions is phenomenal, she chronicles every nuance of Harry's character with Freudian precision. Also Ron and Hermione, get on with it already :-)

If Dumbledore is indeed dead, then Harry has lost his only guide. In that case, how he deals with Voldemort (who, incidently is absent throughout the Half-Blood Prince) in the next book will be interesting, to say the least.

A final word for all the Harry Potter haters out there. Your main argument against Harry Potter is that it is childish, which, if you consider the first two books, it probably is. But beyond that, Harry Potter is universal. It must be understood that just the involvement of magic doesn't make the book puerile; Harry Potter may be a wizard, but what makes the book unique is Harry's humanness.

Watch it for the supporting cast's stellar performances.Watch it for Ram Gopal Verma's genius. Watch it for yourself, because a movie like that is hardly made in Bollywood.

Watch Sarkaar for Subhash Nagre's quite determination, his rejection of the system, his extreme views of justice, his benevolence. Watch it for Shankar Nagre's devotion to his father and his acceptance of his ideals. Watch it for earnestness and intensity in his eyes. Watch it for the scene where he tells his father that he has killed his brother. Watch it for Vishnu Nagre's , the black sheep of the family. Watch it for his turmoil, his desperation and his ultimate act of betrayal. Watch it for Pooja's dilemma, Avantika's unrequited love, Amrita's quite despair. Watch it for the Hindi Film Lover's of the world, for the Indian Film Industry is finally coming of age.

Go watch Sarkaar.
